Hakim ‘Kimo’ Hill is the Co-Executive Director of HipStory Films. Hakim Hill earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling at the University of Bridgeport. Currently, he works as a Resident Director at Salem State University. Outside of student affairs, Hakim wrote, produced, and directed a short film titled “The Art of Being Haunted” & co-directed “Vitiligo,” both about mental health in the Black community and the importance of therapy, which is currently entering the film festival circuit. Hakim also works for the non-profit speakers bureau “Strength of Doves,” which is a management company representing social justice based speakers, spoken word artists, teaching artists, community activists, and organizers.
