Hakim Hill earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling at the University of Bridgeport. Currently, he works as a Area Coordinator at Salem State University. Hakim wrote, produced, and directed the short film titled “The Art of Being Haunted,” about mental health in the Black community and the importance of therapy, which was recently nominated for Best Guerrilla Short Film at the Action on Film Festival 2016 . Hakim has also entered pre-production on his next short with Co-Director Cliff Notez “The Methodist.”
Hakim is now Co-Executive director of HipStory’s new and growing film division.
